Lara Logan
Lara Logan (born 29 March 1971) is a South African television and radio journalist and war correspondent. She was an official CBS News correspondent from 2002 to 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager described her factually incorrect, politcally biased story on 2012 Benghazi as "the most costly mistake I've made in the past 10 years." In 2019 she was hired by Sinclair Broadcast Group, which is a conservative media firm. The company was acquired by Fox Nation in January 2020. Fox News runs the subscription streaming service. She informed Fox News in March 2022 that she had been "dumped". Logan was a news reporter for the Sunday Tribune in Durban, during her studies (1988-1989) before working at the Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992, she became an executive producer at Reuters Television Africa. After four years then, she switched to freelance journalism. Assignments included a reporter/editor/producer with ITN, Fox/SKY News in London, CBS News, ABC News in London, NBC, NBC and European Broadcasting Union. CNN was the first to report on the events that took place in the Northern Ireland and Kosovo wars.
